Born on the Mandalorian homeworld, Akaan'Kal was the son of a Mando'ade Bounty hunter by the name of Ori'Verd Skirata. At an Early age it was easy to see that Akaan was force sensitive like that of his mother, Imari Amotsu, a Jedi who had been taken prisoner by his father. Akaan's mother died giving birth to him. As Akaan grew his father did all he could to surpress Akaan's force affinity but to no avail. During a battle with a rival clan Akaan's father's was killed. Seeing his potential Akaan's father adopted his friends son. Akaan and his new brother soon became inseperable. A year later Akaan, now 8 years old and his brother now 7, watched in horror as his father is killed by and overwhelming onslaught of gunfire. With his dying breath he activated a disress beacon and told his boys they must be strong. Akaan's Anger swelled inside him. Taking a nearby vibrosword he charged at the enemy striking them down with strangely perfect precision as his brother hurls several detinators and blaster rifle fire. But thier struggles were in vain as they became captured. Sitting in his cell he thought back on the battle and was curious as to how he knew what to do and where to swing. in the silence of his thought he began to hear a voice as if from a great distance but whispered in his ear. It was the voice of his mother. After a few days of listening to his mothers words sitting in his cell the silence is broken by the sounds of sudden explosions. As the sound of battle grows closer Akaan grabs his brother and tells him to prepare to fight even if it must be to the death. As the cell opens they see a man dressed in armor similar to thier fathers. It was Ruleand Skirata, Akaan's older half-brother. Ruleand was 15 at the time. After a short battle the brothers rejoined their clan and returned home where Ruleand raised his brothers. As the years passed guided by the voice of his mother Akaan began to learn to harness the force. Before long the other clan members took notice to Akaan's abilities and deemed him a threat to them. In reaction rather than kill on of their own they decided to exile Akaan. Not wanting to be a threat to his people he willingly accepted exile. Outraged by the clans cowardice and abandonment of thier brother they joined him in exile. years later after the re-emergance of the Sith Empire it became clear to Akaan what he must do. His people were being used as puppets by the Empire and must be freed. So he met with his brothers and devised a plan. his brothers would join the Great Hunt and regain thier honor, and he would infiltrate the Sith, learn to use his powers and raise an army. The plan was to crush the Empire from within and in time the Republic as well as it should have been at Malachor V.
